We left Bala to go to Chester to find an aqueduct and discovered that we had missed it 2 days before so we headed for Quarry Mill which was a cotton mill which showed how the cotton was made into fabric. It was very interesting. We hadn’t booked anywhere so rang through to a b & b in Morecombe, near Lancaster. Again a 3 story, so this time we left our suitcases in the car and only take in the essentials. We walked to a chinese restaurant which they had recommended and 20 mins later we finally got there. It was nice walking though as they had a lovely wide promenade along the beach front.
The room was stuffy and not a lot of room to move around, but the couple running the place were lovely. They had divided the rooms up and were running 12 bedrooms. If the place had been a bit better we might have stayed another night.
