We headed off to Cambridge this morning. It wasn’t a huge distance so we had plenty of time to have a good look around. Lots of trees, parkland, river and lots and lots of bikes.
We eventually found a carpark after missing the park and ride area and then walked into the city centre. We saw the Hop on Hop off bus and got on for a tour for about an hour. There are 30 colleges and one University. You have to belong to one of the colleges to get into Cambridge. Students cannot have a vehicle within 5miles of the university. It was a good way to see all the buildings etc although to see some of the schools properly you need to go on a punt and we decided not to bother. We then went looking for our farmstay. Not as far out as we had thought. So far we are the only people staying. We arrived a bit early so took off again and went to the American Cemetery. It was quite interesting.
