Monday 8th June

We left Topsham at10am to head towards Lands End. We had a lot of miles to cover and even though it isn't far in miles terms it takes ages because of the roads and traffic. Lots of little places we drove through. We opted not to go into Portsmouth. We stopped at Falmouth for lunch but the weather had turned again and it wasn't very pleasant. We went to the tourist bureau to book somewhere for the night down near Penzance.
We got our booking to stay at Marazion just before Penzance.
When we arrived the lane to get into the carpark was so narrow we scraped the mirrors and we decided not to stay but found another in Penzance and only stay for one night instead of 2.Well the substitute was not great. Some people's idea of b&b is interesting. Glad we were only staying one night.
Marazion has the castle on an island off the shoreline. Quite a sight. The waves were crashing over the promenade in Penzance.
