Well after a good nights sleep, a nice brekky and long chat to Moira we eventually got away around 10.30am. Went to a Laundrette where they will wash, dry and iron your clothes for you. Had to be back around 3pm to pick up. We went into Stirling and to the castle. It is built high up on a hill and is in a great position. We did the audio tour and then back down to the entrance to go to Argyle house which had been set up according to inventories from the 1680’s. Unfortunately the palace at the castle is under renovation so we were unable to see that. Had some rain again this morning but although cloudy and threatening it stopped for the afternoon.
We had a late lunch at a restaurant just opposite Argyle house and then off to find the Falkirk Wheel.
Amazing. Quite an achievement of engineering and interesting to watch.

Went to find some fish and chips for dinner and then came back and sat in the gardens to eat them. Having a restful evening at “home”
