After a leisurely breakfast we set off for Bath. We managed to find the Park & Ride and caught the bus into Bath. We headed for the baths but instead got side tracked to a shop called Curry’s.
We finally gave in and bought a GPS! Hallelujah!! Jane is her name and she has managed to get us where we are going even when we decided to change our minds. Yes, I can hear you saying now mum, I told you to buy one.
We then headed to the Baths Pump Rooms. Amazing, great, quite impressive. We spent quite a while there and it was also busy.
What I have forgotten to mention in this blog is that a lot of the places we have gone have had audio guides. You can listen as you walk and it explains everything and if you don’t want to listen to it all you just stop it. In each place, except for one, the audio guide has been included in the price which we thought has been great.
We then went to the Abbey and had a look but not for long as there was a service on and we didn’t feel right walking around during that. We then walked to the gardens and river and the wonderful buildings around that area and to the small shops located on the bridge itself.
We went for a boat ride for 1 hr but were a little disappointed but it was relaxing. We then went to the Fashion Museum. By this time it was quite late and we found our bus back out and then found somewhere to eat on the way back to the farmhouse. We decided it was quite relaxing not trying to drive into the centre of town.
